The Upstate Challenge Run, a partnership between Goodwill and the Marines’ Toys for Tots program, is a four mile obstacle course, styled in Marine Corps boot camp tradition. Run by teams of four, the race features over 30 obstacles, including everything from climbing walls, cargo nets, low crawls, rope bridges, swings, stream runs, and of course, a gigantic mud pit. The race provides strength and endurance challenges for athletes of all levels.
Teams can register in the following 4 categories:
The Ultimate Category (Maximum of 12 teams)
The Ultimate Category Teams will be the first teams off the line (8:00-8:30 a.m.) and will be allowed 5 minutes between teams
Category A - Alpha Blood
Category A Teams are fast and trained runners. They are there to compete for the trophy.
Approximate run times: 8:30-10:30
Category B - Here To Have Fun, But We Can Run
Category B Teams are in prime physical shape and ready to do their best, but are mostly their to have fun.
Approximate run times: 10:30-2:30
Category C - What Were We Thinking?
Category C Teams are there to have fun, and just want to finish the race at their personal best.
Approximate run times: 2:30-5:00

Entry is $100 per 4 person team for advance registration, $150 for day of registration for
Ultimate Category:
Entry is $200 per 4 person team
Registration will begin on January 1, 2009.
